TPAC is the proud performance home of three professional resident companies, producing performances of the highest quality for Tennessee audiences.

Though they operate independently, these distinguished artistic companies collaborate with TPAC on educational and patron service initiatives.

Nashville Ballet

Nashville Ballet, the largest professional ballet company in Tennessee, presents a varied repertoire of classical ballet and contemporary works by noted choreographers, including original works by Artistic Director & CEO Nick Mullikin, and other guest artists. Nashville Ballet creates, performs, teaches, and promotes dance as an essential and inspiring element of the Nashville community, often in collaboration with The Nashville Symphony, talented local singer-songwriters, and others. In addition to its season performances at TPAC, Nashville Ballet provides more than 55,000 arts experiences to adults and children annually through virtual and in-person season performances and Community Engagement programming at schools, libraries, and community centers throughout Middle Tennessee. In addition, Nashville Ballet operates its own school, which provides exceptional instruction in ballet and other forms for dance for ages 2 and up.

Nashville Opera

Nashville Opera, Tennessee’s largest professional opera company and led by Artistic Director & CEO John Hoomes, is dedicated to creating legendary productions and transformative artistic experiences that entertain, elevate, and shatter expectations. As one of the most successful regional companies in the United States, the company presents four mainstage productions performed in three different halls to 13,000 people annually. Nashville Repertory Theatre

Nashville Repertory Theatre is Nashville’s premier regional theatre company. Founded in 1985 by Martha Rivers Ingram and Mac Pirkle and celebrating over 35 years of presenting musicals, hot new plays, and reimagined classics, Nashville Rep presents an ambitious season of spectacular main stage productions each year. It also serves the community with the Ingram New Works Project, The Nashville Rep Conservatory, professional development and educational programs, outreach activities, special events, and its props and costume rentals program. Every year, more than 20,000 people experience a Nashville Rep production, special event, or outreach program. Employing over 200 actors, playwrights, designers, directors, musicians, technicians, and educators each year, Nashville Rep is the leading employer of theatrical artists in Middle Tennessee.
