Master Class: Martha Graham

Join us for a master class hosted at Nashville Ballet's Martin Center!

This class will focus on the fundamentals of Graham technique and show how to use these fundamentals to express emotion through the body. Using contraction, release, spiral and shift of weight, we will begin with the floor and progress to standing and finally moving through space.  We will also take these fundamentals and use them to create gestures with the body, giving us the ability to tell complex emotional stories through movement.
