Is there a minimum age to volunteer?
Positions in Jackson Hall require the volunteer to be 18 years old or over. The majority of other opportunities have no age requirement.

What do I wear?
Each volunteer opportunity requires different attire, which will be noted; however, there is no volunteer “uniform” for any positions. Jackson Hall Volunteers are asked to wear business casual attire, Fundraising Events Volunteers are to wear dressier clothing. There are also many positions where blue jeans are completely appropriate.

What kind of training is required?
Each volunteer receives an initial orientation packet for his or her review and is encouraged to meet with the Volunteer Manager either in person or by phone to answer any questions.
Mandatory training is provided for certain volunteer duties with annual workshops and ongoing yearly one-on-one training sessions. Other duties require only on-the-job training provided by an appropriate TPAC staff member.

How much time am I required to give?
The TPAC Volunteer Office is flexible with each volunteer’s schedule and time constraints. Normal TPAC business hours are 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Volunteers are offered a range of opportunities during the day within normal TPAC business hours, at night during show weeks, and on the weekends during shows and special events.
Each volunteer decides how much time to give in volunteering at TPAC. The TPAC Volunteer Office is aware of certain volunteers’ needs to complete a set number of hours of service due to affiliation with a group or project and will work one-on-one with these volunteers to help them meet their requirements. Otherwise each individual chooses his/her volunteer activities.
